  • Jered Weaver is under 2.00 at the AS Break for the 2nd Consecutive Year

Weaver heads into the 2012 All Star break with a 1.96 ERA. Last season, his ERA at the break was even better at 1.86. I wonder who was the last starting pitcher to do this, Greg Maddux maybe?

For his entire career, spanning seven seasons and 192 starts, Weaver has a 2.84 ERA and 1.08 WHIP before the All Star break and a 3.70 ERA and 1.23 WHIP after the All Star Break. It's like he's two completely different pitchers!
    My top 10 players:

    1. Babe Ruth
    2. Barry Bonds
    3. Ty Cobb
    4. Ted Williams
    5. Willie Mays
    6. Alex Rodriguez
    7. Hank Aaron
    8. Honus Wagner
    9. Lou Gehrig
    10. Mickey Mantle

Not sure about that, but Weaver, Koufax, Mort Cooper, and Hal Newhouser are the only pitchers to have 10+ wins and a sub 2.00 ERA at the All-Star break in back-to-back seasons.
