Really nice start to a career. He had a good eye and better legs when it came to the catcher position.
Unfortunately, the wear and tear that position brings really caught up to him fast. His bat was so important for the Pirate in the late 90s that they really should have taken the Biggio/Ziele route IMO - and put him in the field. He may have had another 5 peak years in him.
