what was with King Felix he also hit Ichiro and Jeter
        1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

Couldn't of happened to a better guy...... Did you see the tantrum he threw after getting hit?

That was classless man. I don't care how much you don't like a player, you don't make a comment like that when he gets injured.

Or should I enjoy seeing Rays players getting injured and make fun of how they react to the pain of that injury?

That wasn't a "tantrum", and that was a disgusting comment. How would you feel if someone made fun of the way you reacted after you had your hand broken?

Felix apologized for it and I'd guess he was just getting tired...he was close to 120 pitches when he was finally pulled. Jeter was hit with a curve and ARod with a change, so he wasn't just drilling guys.

I've gotta agree with this. The only guys I drew some small measure of joy from due to a HBP were those like Giambi who tried to get hit by inside curves and changes through ducking their heavily padded elbows into the strike zone...I thought they were getting what was coming to them when they got hit more solidly, although I never wished injury upon them. I swear I must have seen Giambi reach at least half a dozen times on strikes he stuck his body in front of (never fastballs, of course), and the umps never made the proper call.

Anyone else think the Yanks retaliate by hitting Jesus Montero tonight?

you have started 5 threads complaining about the red sox hitting batters and now post something like this?

Not a very good joke if it inspired the same reaction from three different people.

Well I hope Mariners fans are happy now. I heard some of them clapping as A-Rod was being led off the field in obvious pain. And I distinctly heard "A-Rod Sucks" chants while he was lying there.

Some people really have no class, I guess.

(I guess I should have expected a reaction like that, given how M's fans always boo the hell out of A-Rod whenever he comes to bat. Although...booing is one thing, but clapping when a player is injured? That's low. )

^ yeah compared to those real nice Yankee fans in the Bronx - never ever heard a bad thing about them
