Yeah that is one stacked team. I can't see the Rangers beating them out at this point."(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I always thought he was more sinned against than sinning." -- Connie Mack
"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

so far the three biggest (name) trades seem to include the Yankees Dodgers and Angels all big city teams

Weaver, Greinke, Wilson & Haren is as good as any 1-4 for an October run. Angels parted with what could be a decent SS, but this gets them an inside shot to the postseason IMO."Chuckie doesn't take on 2-0. Chuckie's hackin'." - Chuck Carr two days prior to being released by the Milwaukee Brewers

You know what is scary? The Angels have nearly $53 million in salary coming off the books after this season. Based on the the structure of the deals they handed out to Wilson and Pujols, you can see the method behind their madness. Both of their salaries jump in Vernon Wells final year on the books.
