Insurance policy for the A's - not expecting this to impact the team much. Kottaras might get 1-2 starts a week, tops.

I liked Kottaras. He had a fun personality and would go on bizarre hot streaks and hit like 4 home runs in 8 at-bats or something. But, between Maldonado and Lucroy, there wasn't any room for him on the 25 man roster. The fact that he's hitting .200 this year doesn't help his case any.

As for De Los Santos, don't know much about him, but he looks like a solid middle reliever. Anything to bolster the Brew Crew's awful bullpen.

Expect more trades from the Brewers. GM Doug Melvin has more or less said he's trading anything that's not nailed down (aka Braun & Lucroy).
