    InB4 RoyHobbs to defend Melky.
Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.

If hitting a baseball is the toughest thing to do in sports, then pitching must be the easiest thing to do in sports.

Well, that partly explains his sudden turnaround after he got out of Atlanta.

this hurts in more ways than 1
          1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

Back-to-back NL West Champions. Something the SF Giants have never done, LOL. And boo-hoo. Anything that goes against you is considered trolling.

Huge blow for SF, obviously. But pitching is still their main key. Not counting them out just yet. That Pence trade is even more important now.

The chain of custody was not compromised in Melky's case as far as I know...

This little revelation just cost Melky a ton of money in free agency. You know the guy really worked hard the last two years to become a productive player. In his only season in Atlanta he was fat, out of shape and lazy. When the Royals picked him up he must have figured if your choices are the Royals or nothing then you have a problem in your career. He came to camp last year in shape and played hard all year without causing a single problem. When he broke out this year you thought he was on the way to having a fine career. And now his career is in a shambles.

And just as you can count on the sun rising in the east you can count on a productive player who gets his hand caught in the cookie jar being defended by his home town faithful. And their reasons ring as hollow as ever.
