  • Possibility of Encarnacion using PEDs?

He already has 33 home runs, more than twice as many as he hit last year.

Are these the kind of threads we're doing now?

I'm not even the slightest bit upset. I have bigger things to worry about.

Yeah, yeah, lol to you too.

I posted this in the other thread; while PEDs are a problem that will always plague baseball now, it's still irresponsible to accusse people of cheating when they cannot possibly prove their innocence.

That more or less applies to everyone who has ever been accused of it.

Of course. That's why you should let the tests take care of it, imperfect as they are. Doing what we're doing now possibly will prevent guys like Jeff Bagwell from getting into the Hall of Fame because people assume that he's a cheater. That's wrong.

If you are making a list of possibles, then Bautista should be on it. That's not proof, though, just suspicion. I think it's clear that there are players using who are passing lots of tests, but somehow get caught when a random test lands just around the time they took a steroid rub. Should Encarnacion be under suspicion? Probably.

If folks think passing 20 tests proves anything, then this is what it proves: it proves MLB has a defective testing regimes, which iirc, is exactly what they have been told for years.

So there's possibility of Encarnación (something I can't deny...besides he plays for my rival team in the dominican winter league), and no Jeter.

As a matter of fact, let's begin a thread with all the people we suspect. Let's put Dominican and Venezuelan players on hold for later rounds shall we?
