  • Dodgers deal for Adrian Gonzalez & Carl Crawford, among others

    we will see what develops
    1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

Not as huge as Carl Crawford's two years in Boston.

now the rumor is the Dodgers and Red Sox are talking about a deal for Crawford, Gonzalez and Beckett

what's gonna happen if the Giants sweep them again as they just swept them for the second time, but this time with Kemp, Ethier, Ramirez, Victorino and Ellis all in the lineup (no excuses)

go for Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron and Ty Cobb ??

          lmao

What the hell??? Crawford was just shut down for the season and is going to have Tommy John surgery. Who's making these decisions, Magic Johnson?

You sound a bit worried, 9Roy. You have the most posts about this topic. Even if the Dodgers don't end up winning the division this year, you know the new owners will not stop trying. Newsflash for you: They don't give a flying **** about money. You sure wish broke-ass McCourt was still the owner, don't you? West Coast Yankees, baby.
Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.

well IMO the Dodgers can grab and pay for all the talent they want

that does not give a team heart something the Dodgers have lacked for 25 years

As long as the drought is not as long as 51 (years like the Giants had, it's all good.

we are happy with the sweep at Dodger Stadium when the entire Dodger team plus the newcomers were in the lineup (no excuses like when they were shut out 3 straight in SF) and they trailed all 27 innings and never led once

Are the Red Sox getting anybody back for these guys, or is this strictly a cash transaction?

See, I don't make excuses about the sweeps like you did about the sweep of the Giants in SF. Waaaaaah they didn't have Sandoval. Plus, the Dodgers have swept the Giants more than the other way around since 2000. But I'm not gonna brag about those right now. We've got some work to do this season.
