  • 2012 AL Manager of The year?

Seems to be its between Melvin and Showalter

Robin Ventura is doing well for a rookie.
The Mets have the best, smartest fans in baseball.

Buck Showalter is certainly doing a good job with the O's.

wow I'm impressed that you voted for a non Ray.

I would also go with ventura although quite a few managers (maddon certainly among them to be fair) are doing a good job. Melvin is certainly a good candidate too as is Showalter.

Maddon already has two of them

Showalter, especially if the Os take the division. Fourteen straight losing seasons and an expected win total under 70, c'mon.

Showalter should have won it last year too.

Not for just last September; that's going a little far.

Mike Scioscia. Nobody gave them a chance this season yet here they are contending for the Wild Card.
Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.

If hitting a baseball is the toughest thing to do in sports, then pitching must be the easiest thing to do in sports.

No one gave them a chance after signing Pujols and Wilson? It looked like another bad year early in the season, but I think I heard the "analysts" say the Angels should be a contender after those two signings.

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

Before one casts a vote for Robin Ventura, one must ask themselves, "Should Paul Konerko be batting fourth behind Adam Dunn at third?" (Basically, having Dunn bat third and Konerko fourth as opposed to the inverse always seemed intuitively incorrect to me, and I was wanting to hear others' opinions to strive towards furthering my understanding of the game.)
