Tampa's staff is so good... they only have one member of their staff with over 20 IP and an ERA over 4.00... and that's Alex Cobb, with a robust 4.27. They'd be leading the division with a healthy Evan Longoria for the season.

That's not bad for Cobb, who was only called up to replace the injured Niemann.

In other news, Oakland A's hitters are on pace to strike out 1,381 times, which would be the second-highest team total in MLB history (The 2001 Milwaukee Brewers hold the record with 1,399 strikeouts. Having Richie Sexson, Jeromy Burnitz, Jose Hernandez and Geoff Jenkins in one lineup will do that...)
        My top 10 players:

        1. Babe Ruth
        2. Barry Bonds
        3. Ty Cobb
        4. Ted Williams
        5. Willie Mays
        6. Alex Rodriguez
        7. Hank Aaron
        8. Honus Wagner
        9. Lou Gehrig
        10. Mickey Mantle

Maybe, maybe not. What if the Yankees had a healthy Brett Gardner, Mariano Rovera, Michael Pineda, A-Rod...

Well considering we were rolling before Longo went down and we took series from the Rangers swept the M's and yanks and so forth at will so yes i think i Longo hadn't been injured i think we would have the division we were leading it actually and then longo went down and got sunk.

We'll never really know, will we. The Reds have a better record without Joey Votto than with him...

If you look at the stats with longo the Rays are WS contenders without him we suck. Also look at the W-L with and without longo.

Pretty much that was what I was pointing to. After Longoria went down the Rays took a bit of a dive in the standings. Other teams have had problematic injuries too of course.

We'll never know how they wouldve done with a healthy Longoria. Might've done better, might've done worse.
