Howard just hit his 300th HR. He did it in his 1093rd game. Ralph Kiner reached 300 in 1087 games. I think he could have been the fist to 300 had he not had the torn achilles that really has been an issue this season as so far as planting his feet.

Regardless, it's a nice milestone for a classy player.

I have a feeling Mike Stanton of the Marlins will break Kiner's record. He's missed a ton of games this year and is still second in the NL with 34 homers. And he's still only 22 years old!
