what record are you talking about?
"Batting stats and pitching stats do not indicate the quality of play, merely which part of that struggle is dominant at the moment."

      The flukiest of the fluke.
Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.

If hitting a baseball is the toughest thing to do in sports, then pitching must be the easiest thing to do in sports.

I think he may have ended up with a higher season era+. They both were around 650 last I checked. BBR wont update until tomorrow morning.

Fernando Rodney posted a 0.60 ERA in 74.2 IP, lowest in MLB history (min. 60 IP). Dennis Eckersley had a 0.61 in 73.1 IP in 1990.

You're right. Congratulations to Fernando Rodney on tying for the 28th best season by a reliever since 1990.

Wow, surprised at the reactions on this thread. I'd probably vote Rodney 4th on my theoretical Cy Young ballot.
