  • Orioles vs. Rangers Wildcard Playoff

I suppose I'll be the one to start the thread. Score is 1-0 going into bottom of first.

Anyone else here that idiot say Adrian Beltre is the best third baseman he's ever seen? I'm getting tired of these "experts" who drain my brain cells with nonsense. Then they have to bring in four more on-field guys to tell me things I already know or spit out meaningless statistics.

I don't know where the Vegas odds stand. My money is on Baltimore for their clutch playing throughout the year. In close 2-1 games, they sneak out the extra run. In high-scoring 9-8 affairs, they end up with the run that does the job. Darvish seems like a crafty guy who can adjust well to pressure. I'm off the notion that Baltimore pitching trumps the Rangers lineup.

I've been pulling for the Rangers to win the World Series all year to make up for the travesty that was 2011. In all likelihood, that means the Orioles have this one in the bag.

I would find it incredibly ironic if the game went to extra innings and the Orioles lost
      1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

I disagree then agree because I dislike the Rangers and hold to my original prediction. Coming true so far as we enter the bottom of seventh with Orioles up 3-1.

This game has not gone well for the Rangers.

So how mad would you have been if the Cardinals ended up winning that Competitive Balance Draft?

Figures that the team I wanted to win the World Series going into the season would just fritter it away like this. I think baseball hates me.

I wouldn't have been too happy about it, that's for sure.

Josh Hamilton kind of screwed the Rangers on that dropped out he looks like he is back to drinking or just wants out of Texas fast.

Welp, it's all over. I'm at least glad I was mentally prepared for it, or I'd probably be crying right now. There's still a hole in my heart over the way last season ended though. If the Nationals can somehow get past the Cardinals and their winning magic, I hope they win it all.

Nice! The Yankees/O's series should be a great one.

But I'm rooting for the Yankees. Mostly because the Tigers generally handle them well in the post season.
