Since Game 1 is already over, I had to leave one option off the poll, but how do you think this series goes?

Whoops. I should've put "ALDS" somewhere in the thread title. If a mod wants to fix that, please do.

Great to see Alex Avila going the other way with pitches instead of trying to pull everything.
Benoit almost gave up another home run. Fix the glitch, Wa-keen.
Papa Grande looked great in the ninth.
Oakland's roster this year has been top-heavy with Brandons. Moss, Inge, McCarthy, Allen and Hicks. Such a glut of this overly popular '80s name could sink most ballclubs, but Fautino De Los Santos has given them the necessary buoyancy.

Wow. I'm kicking myself for getting even the slightest bit excited. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Repeat 100x..."Valverde has yet to pitch, Valverde has yet to pitch...."
He was throwing batting practice out there. From the first hit when the ball went under Infante's glove, I knew it wouldn't end well.
The unearned run on Fielder's error doesn't even matter. Leyland would have left Valverde out there to finish it. His logic being "Once you start building a coffin, you don't change carpenters."smoker

Really fair. The team who won 94 games and won their divison had to play game 5 on the road against a team who won 88 games. Their reward for a long hard fought and well earned division win is facing Verlander in Detroit in the final game of the series.
In case anyone is wondering, Verlander's home ERA this season is about 2 full runs lower than his ERA on the road.Last edited by GiambiJuice; 10-11-2012, 10:16 PM.My top 10 players:

2. Barry Bonds

HUGE respect for the A's. It s young team with massive amounts of talent. The Rangers and Angels need to make some big deals this off-season just to stay within range. The Angels might be done for after blowing the payroll on Pujols for the next 10 years.Vintage Photos of Detroit Ballparks:
