I'd imagine most people are. Unfortunately, I think the Yankees are going to win.

I think these are the 2 best teams in baseball - I think the Yankees will win in 5 hard fought games.

I want the Orioles to win, but I think the Yankees are going to take the series in four games.

Raul you are so cool. Ties the game and then wins it via a HR.

How high does this rank in Yankee lore? Even though it's technically monumental what Ibanez did, I'm honestly not feeling that buzz, though it might be because I didn't actually get to watch the game.

If the Yankees go on to win the series it will be remembered for a long time.

If you look to the left of the screen, just as Ibanez is about 15 feet from home plate, you can see the ump trying to get a look, make sure he touches home plate. But, he is blocked out by a player on the field, some pushing taking place.

I doubt it woud really matter if he did not see contact with the plate, not in this case.

I thought the Yankees signing Ibanez was a mistake since I thought he was washed up playing for the Phillies and had a negative WAR in 2011.

                        Baseball is weird.

well I think this might be due to the stadium. as a lefty you don't need power to hit a HR in YS. You just need to be able to hit routine flyouts to RF. no need to juice for that.

Considering it wasn't an elimination game, and the Yankees still would've had two more home games to win the series, I don't know if you could call it "monumental."

It looks like the Orioles blew their best chance to possibly win this series. I expected it though.

Maybe the word monumental does not fit here..................but it was big, very big.
Yanks being up two games to one does not mean it's over for the Orioles but for the Yanks it beats Yanks being down two games to one, even with remaining games in their own park.
