A well played series, especially after coming off of a hard fought NCLS.

Jimmy Dugan: ... But sneaking out like this, quitting, you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Baseball is what gets inside you. It's what lights you up, you can't deny that.
Dottie Hinson: It just got too hard.
Jimmy Dugan: It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great.

The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

I'm just so happy. I've been a Giants fan since 1965, when I was 9 years old. This is the reason why one stays with one team, goes through all the frustration, so you can have days like this. I know it's not important in the big picture of life, but I grew up in a baseball family. Thanks to my Dad, who passed away in 2007, for giving to me his love of baseball.

While I can't say I'm particularly happy about getting another rerun title this year, if we have to have one, the Giants are a good team for it to happen to. They have some really cool fans, and their recent history isn't littered with championships, so they are still somewhat sympathetic.
I'm glad it's over, frankly. Now I can have my life back.

And these bitter backhanded congratulations by two Yankee fans show zero class. How about stepping up to the plate like an adult with your 27 championships and genuinely congratulating this year's champs?Put it in the books.
