    pretty good choice
    1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

    No-brainer IMO.

Eh, I'd have gone with Bochy, but it's not a lousy choice.

I agree. I liked Bochy, especially his management in the post-season. The Giants survived Melky Cabrera's suspension and Tim Lincecum's transitioned well to the bullpen.

I also want to spite Mets legend Davey Johnson for working for a division rival.
The Mets have the best, smartest fans in baseball.

post season does not come into the equation

they did lose their all star closer had Lincecum blow up on them then the melky situation not to mention a rival who tried to buy the division who had a 7.5 game lead then lost by 8 games

but johnson was still a good choice

Well desirved! Nat's are gonna hang for the next 5 at least . . . Davey's an awesome manager, but he's gonna need I fear a "new" Buckner situation in a big game. Possibly not? . . . I'm liking' the Nat's more than the '86 Flushing team more and more. I could have gone Bochy too . . . but I'm total content with this choice.
            Some's basturds, some's ain't, thats the score.
