  • Shane Victorino to Red Sox

Anyone else think 3 years for $39 mil is too much?

Yes, it's being discussed in the General Off-Season thread.
They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.

The past several months have left me wondering what in the heck the Red Sox brass is thinking. Ben Charington is no Theo, that's for sure.

Aging outfielder poised for a decline. Looks like a prime candidate to under-perform after signing a deal - you think the BoSox would have learned something after Crawford and Lackey.
            WAR? Prove it!

What was wrong with crawford? He is still relativity young....

He seems older than he is, to me at least, because of how poor he played for the Sox. Hes only like 30 or 31 isnt he?

31 thought he was younger then that for some reason.

Crawford deal made no sense to me even at the time of signing...he was getting elite money and i didnt see him in that category...maybe to some degree because he played in tampa

He was the best outfielder on the market at the time if i believe and IMHO HE was elite he made his name here in Tampa for being consistent and very good.
