    Tuesday afternoon, the Giants had a two-year offer on the table that would have reached $20 million if the third-year option were vested. With other teams expressing interest, one believed to be the Cardinals, the Giants were compelled to guarantee the third year. Once that happened, Scutaro jumped at it.

    1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

    Bochy's interview on mlb.com he said "hoping to know something re Scutaro tonight or tomorrow"
