So when was the last time a three and four hitter combo was as good as Hamilton-Pujols?

Yeah, that sounds about right. Griffey-A-Rod was even better IMO.

                Fielder/Cabrera are no slouches either.

Throw in Trout and Trumbo and they are looking good... However... I'm still not sold on Pujols returning to form, I question Hamilton's health and doubt Trout can replicate last year's numbers. (I'd like to see him go off but it's not likely) But if they can get this core of guys firing on all cylinders, it doesn't matter who they have on the mound.

I certainly wont state that the angels will win the division (who would have picked the a's), but they sure will be a lot of fun to watch

Hamilton's overrated. He's a very good hitter but not a great one. I dont blame the Angels for making this deal, especially after losing Greinke, but i don't think it will work out so well for them.

Something I put in the offseason thread...
In 1549 PA's last year, LH hitters knocked only 30 HRs all season. That should change with Hamilton I'd think.

Yeah, that number should improve, but Hamilton benefitted greatly from hitting in Arlington. Angels Stadium is not nearly as hitter-friendly.

To say nothing of the Angels/Dodgers rivalry. Should be fun to watch. Wonder is they will both be early World Series favorites?

Those two may combine for $500M payrolls when the offseason is finally over.
