Those things happen. The Giants drafted Tim Lincecum and Buster Posey after nine teams passed on Lincecum and four teams passed on Posey. On the other hand the Giants had two 1st round draft picks in 1990 and passed on Mike Mussina twice!
Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.-Crash Davis

Probably right. And i know the Rockies pain after the Rays passed over Posey. Just reminds us why owners should let there baseball guys make the baseball decisions.

One of the teams that passed on Lincecum was the Dodgers who selected a guy named Clayton Kershaw.

        Through their age 24 seasons
        Lincecum: 57 starts, 373 innings, 3.16 ERA, 25 wins, 11 WAR
        Kershaw: 149 starts, 944 innings, 2.79 ERA, 61 wins, 22 WAR

I don't think LA minds passing over Timmay

Most great, good and even awful players have been passed up by some team since the draft was initiated. The baseball guys are more likely to make errors as they're far more often than not the ones who are making the decisions there, not the owners.
Dave Bill Tom George Mark Bob Ernie Soupy Dick Alex Sparky
