Not to come off like the grammar police, but if you wish to establish yourself as a political official, it's often looked at as a plus to understand how you use your words. That of course is if the quote was taken from a text. If it was verbal, and the writer and/or editor missed it, then it's their bad.

You know? I think you're right after reading the article - it's twitter feeds. So I guess they go with direct quotes, and I'm not gonna kill Canseco for that then since most twitter stuff is simply in the moment and editing isn't really all that important. Personally, I think the editor would be doing Jose a service by changing it to make it correct, but in the society we live in, he could run the risk of being sued lmao.

I do think Canseco would be well-served to be part of an honest dialogue of it. There is so much misunderstanding and stigma about what is an important medical issue beyond sports.
