  • Landline Dugout Phones to be Replaced With Mobile Phones

Looks like Jack McKeon isn't coming back for sure.
"No matter how great you were once upon a time — the years go by, and men forget,” - W. A. Phelon in Baseball Magazine in 1915. “Ross Barnes, forty years ago, was as great as Cobb or Wagner ever dared to be. Had scores been kept then as now, he would have seemed incomparably marvelous.”

Can't figure out why this is going on. Not sure if this is a good or bad investment by T-Mobile i use them for my cell service but it honestly doesn't make much sense to me.

AT&T Park and Wrigley Field don't need to worry about this. Now I know the Giants will never freaking build bullpens. They'll never allow any T-Mobile advertising in that park.

Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.

If hitting a baseball is the toughest thing to do in sports, then pitching must be the easiest thing to do in sports.

I anticipate huge problems occurring. With ~40,000 fans at stadiums, cell towers are overloaded. Making calls and web surfing is a pain in the butt.

I wonder what took them so long.

Probably because cell phones rarely have as good of a connection as landlines. I can see the potential for all kinds of problems here.

Robin Ventura has got to have a good phone plan for this.

They better keep the Braves bullpen phone. Loudest ring in the world I bet.

Technology is advancing and so is the game of baseball. Soon we will actually have instant replay so Umps can't screw a kid out of a perfecto those types of things lol.

I hope the Mets burn all their bullpen phones. In fact, never call for any reliever ever again.

The Mets have the best, smartest fans in baseball.

The concept of the landline phone is gradually dying out. I expect there to be no landlines whatsoever in a few years. A lot of people are dumping them right now, and have been for years. Landlines are obsolete.

I dumped my home phone in December and just have the cell now.

^ I got an iPhone a year ago and immediately got rid of my landline, which I do not miss one bit.
