I have two openings in a sabermetric-style dynasty league at http://www.mendozabaseball.com. Mendoza Baseball is a unique format that is designed to simulate the economics, strategies and transaction rules of MLB as closely as possible. The scoring is based on runs created and runs allowed, tied together using Bill James' Pythagorean theorem. There are other unique features, such as:
• E-Bay style free agent auctions
• 40-man major league rosters
• The ability to develop and keep young players through a reserve clause and arbitration simulator
• A full-blown economic model where teams compete to earn profits as well as wins
• A very deep league (currently have 11 teams, looking for 13-14)
• A dedicated group of owners
• A winter tournament where you play owners from other Mendoza leagues using Diamond Mind
Mendoza Baseball is a hobbyist site run by volunteers dedicated to developing the most realistic fantasy baseball simulation possible. I'm looking for 2-3 owners to take over existing teams in the NL-only Bill "Inspector" Caudill League, now entering its 7th year. I'm also looking for 3-6 for the NL-only Mike Morgan League, which is a new league that will redraft every year.
This game is definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you've been successful at traditional fantasy games and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the game for you.
