  • MLB 2k8 and the Home Run Records

Since Barry Bonds isn't in MLB 2k8, the cool record keeping feature of MLB 2kX games (where they keep track of MLB records) doesn't include home runs.

I must say, this is HORRIBLE. I love to have my guys chase after the home run records. I know I can still go "Whoa cool!" when they hit 74 home runs in a single season, or 763 in a career. It's just not the same when I can't go back three seasons later and admire the records.

They should have given them to Joe Young, or unlock them after one of your players breaks them in game.

In MLB 08, they just call the player who broke the record "San Francisco Giants", like they do with Henderson's steals record (LA Dodgers), Aaron's RBI record (Milwaukee Brewers), Thigpen's saves record (Chicago White Sox), etc.

Ummm...I don't think Rickey Henderson ever played with the Dodgers.

For career records, it goes with the most recent team played for. In Henderson's case, it's the Dodgers. His single-season steals record, though, goes under Oakland Athletics, which is really confusing.

He did for 30 games in 2003.
