The Thunder are disappointed to miss out on Boggs. He was our clear top pick. But Don Mattingly isn't a bad consolation prize.

Mark has gotten the seasons from 1984 to 1987, and I already had 82 and 83. I am working on a master fielding chart for the years 82 through 87. I hope to have it done sometime in the next couple of days if anyone wants to wait to see fielding ratings before drafting.

Boggs would most definitely have been my first choice in this draft.

The Dust Bunnies have the fourth pick in this draft. We have our sights on two players, so will certainly get one or the other. However, since I like to trade, I would offer this pick if someone really wants to step up to the plate in a big way. What do we want? Don't have a clue, except that we don't want a draft pick in 1983. We don't have any now, and don't want to review a whole bunch of guys for one or two picks. We also think we have a good chance to be competitive in 1982.

The Tyrants have the 5th pick and could be talked into trading down or trading it outright. Our main needs are a starting pitcher, a second baseman or a third baseman, and a RH platoon partner in CF for Kirk Gibson. Our cap space is a little tight, but we can take on some modest salaries. We also have Davey Lopes at 2B (6M through next season) who we are willing to part with.

Awesome I was hoping to see the fielding ratings for the future as well.

Jason - It will cover each season through 1987. There will be a master list covering all seasons as well as each individual season. Been very busy the last couple of weeks, but I hope to work on it tonight and tomorrow.

I'd prefer someone with a little more immediate impact, but it's not like I'm going to turn down Tony Gwynn.

I believe the Hard Cider own the Skipjacks 3rd round pick according to my records,

In the TIDP the pick went from the Angels to the Iron (#123 1981 season thread). There were a couple of conflicted trades that I questioned without owner responses. Was this one of them, that the pick was traded twice? Reference for deal to Hard Cider?
