Bless your soul Dan. I've been regretting that bid ever since I made it. I hoped someone wanted him enough to overbid me.

        Precisely.

        • Worked until 5 tonight and just got home. This is the only update that will get posted before bidding ends at 8PM.

These are the bids in the 500K Phase through Post #243. Bidding ends at 8:00PM tonight (12/17/12). At that time, any player listed below that has NOT received an additional bid is signed by the bidding team. Any player that has received an additional bid OR any players bid on for the first time will continue on to the 1M Phase. As always, I will note players receiving a new bid and newly bid players with an asterisk. Please advise me of any errors.

            Correct

This is an important thing to keep in mind - bidding now means you can bid lower increments.

There's also another factor - GMs are often busy or forgetful. If they don't bid on someone next round that they meant to bid on, then suddenly the last bid becomes the winning bid, rather than just "the new minimum"

              Did I miss something somewhere?
That's what I come up with. His roster at the beginning of this thread has him at 97 million (and the math was done correctly to reach that figure). And he has 5 million in current bids.

I assume the penalties spelled out in the rules don't go into effect unless nobody outbids the Inmates on either player. Whoever he outbid on Zimmer shouldn't outbid him, since Zimmer will go to the next highest bidder for the lower bid amount.
