  • Last Chance for Negro Leaguers?

is this going to be the last chance for negro leaguers to get in the hall?

I'd bet there's no chance there will be another one within 10 years. The more nominees selected this time, the less likely there will be another time. If there's a half-dozen or less, I'd say the issue will rise again--but if there's 20 or more, I start to lean in the direction there might not be another time.

The short answer? Yes. This is going to be the last chance for negro leaguers. The Coop wants to be done with them, right here, right now.

The longer answer. As Jim said, it depends on how many are elected. Unless they elect a dozen or more, there is an excellent chance that a quality candidate will be overlooked, and eventually there will be a groundswell of support to enshrine them.
