    Wow, I'm a bit overwhelmed. I met Kirby at ST when he was first coming up with the Twins. He was always great to the fans and generous about signing autographs. He will be missed.

    I couldn't agree with you more. The game could really use more players that exude the enthusiasm for the game that you could see every day when watching guys like Ernie and Kirby play.

    God bless Kirby, he was much too young to die. He was such an exciting player, just like his life his career was also cut short. I'm happy he lived long enough to see his induction into the HOF.
