  • Wrong cap

That Randy Johnson thread got me to thinking - an easy way to determine which cap a player should go into the Hall wearing would simply be to find out which team he played the most games for (or inning pitched or at bats). I know that's not how it's done, but my question is this: How many players have been inducted as a member of team for which they did not play the most games for?

If you want to go by primary team on cap here is everyone in the hall with a diffrent cap on their plaque than their primary team in ablphabetical order (excluding no hats or no sign on hat)

    Name.........................Primary Team...........Team on hat
    Jim Bunning................Detroit Tigers..........Philidelphia Phillies
    Mickey Cochrane.........Philidelphia A's..........Detroit Tigers
Rick Ferrell................St. Louis Browns........ Boston Red Sox
Carlton Fisk..............Chicago White Sox.......Boston Red Sox
Jimmie Foxx............. Philidelphia A's............Boston Red Sox
Lefty Grove............. Philidelphia A's............Boston Red Sox
    Billy Hamilton............Philidelphia Phillies........Boston Beaneaters
    Reggie Jackson..............Oakland A's............New York Yankees
    Willie Keeler.............New York Yankees.........Brooklyn Superbas
    Heinie Manush..........Washington Senators........Detroit Tigers
    Frank Robinson ..........Cincinatti Reds............Baltimore Orioles
    Nolan Ryan ...............California Angels...........Texas Rangers
    Bruce Sutter...............Chicago Cubs...........St. Louis Cardnals
Hoyt Wilhelm............Chicago White Sox.........New York Giants
Dave Winfield............New York Yankees........San Diego Padres

Nolan Ryan was the one I immediatly thought of. He went in as a Ranger but had his peak years as an Angel and spent most of his career as an Astro.
