  • Dick Allen?

Not sure if this is a guy who deserves HoF enshrinement, just wanted to bring him up and see what the consensus is...

    Career .292 hitter
    Career .912 OPS
    Career 156 OPS+
    Career 351 HR
    1964 Rookie of the Year
    1972 AL MVP
    3 top 10 MVP finishes
6 times in the top 10 for BA
7 times in the top 10 for OBP, including 2 first place finishes
8 times in the top 10 for SLG%, including 3 first place finishes
10 times in the top 10 for OPS, including 4 first place finishes
10 times in the top 10 for OPS+, including 3 first place finishes
8 times in the top 10 for HR, including 2 first place finishes
8 times in the top 10 for XBH, including 3 first place finishes

Those are impressive numbers considering his MLB career was only 15 seasons long; he was one of the dominant hitters of his time. Further, 652 of his games were at 3B. His offense from that position would be huge, even with 807 games at 1B and 256 games in the outfield.
