I think we're getting to a point where voters have a lot of players closely clustered together, so there aren't going to be many standouts. That being said, I just did a quick count and saw that Snider was already listed on 7 of the 10 or 11 ballots that have been submitted, so that should give him a fighting chance and would look to be a good bet for election in one of the next two elections.

I would also note that we're still in an area where we're sorting out truly great players. Look at the last five elected: Rod Carew, Tony Gwynn, Carl Hubbell, Roy Campanella and Ernie Banks. Those guys are all legendary.

I think, just glancing over the master list, that once we get past the 100-110 mark we're going to see a real decline in value/mystique.

Surprised at the disparity between Clarkson and Keefe... but that's about it. Snider finishes 67th.

--I think Hoss Radbourne better defines the era of the super workhorse pitcher better than either Clarkson or Keefe. He'll be on my ballot before either, perhaps as early as the next one.
