    Players
    Gary Carter - Y
    John Franco - bleech =N
    Jerry Grote - Y
    Bud Harrelson - Y
Ed Kranepool - N can I bold and highlight it
    Jesse Orosco - Y
    John Stearnes - N
Mookie Wilson - Y I know he is a bit of the Kranepool long term player category, but he was actually good or so it seemed in the pre-advanced metrics era and along with Hubie Brooks was the first ray of sunshine to appear from the farm system after the gloom that pervaded after the Seaver Trade (I know ther eis a phrase for that trade and day but cannot recall it for the life of me).

    Contributors
Bill (should be Bob) Murphy - Y
Lindsay Nelson - Y these two and Kiner may have formed the longest running trio of team announcers they were synonymous with the team and are part of most people's mental soundtrack if they came of age pre-80s. To boot they were better than good. These were not hacks or embarrasing shills but highly skilled competent broadcasters beyond anythign they did here.
    Joan Payson - Y
    William Shea - Y

Crap, I didn't intend to open this election until tomorrow morning. But since I have and people have voted based on my error, it's my mistake and this franchise will get an extra day (and these two early votes will count). The Rangers and Reds will have to wait, though.

Some minds are like concrete--thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.

I might reconsider on most of the contributors if they need my vote to get over the top.

The Mets now have six votes, even if no candidate has amassed that many yet.

I switched my vote on Shea, who did enough to get the stadium named for him. The rest of the contributors wouldn't seem to need my vote.

On another, but somewhat related topic, we're inside of two days left in this election.

No player got more than five votes (Carter). All the contributors got six votes and were elected.
