I've never conducted a BBF HoF before, and I've hardly participated in the existing ones. Any constructive feedback is much appreciated because this site is the most collectively knowledgeable baseball meeting in the universe of this third dimension.
I have a great interest in relief pitching, from the pioneers to the groundbreakers to the specialists of today. I hope to create a Hall of Fame composed exclusively of relievers.
Who is a reliever? Since 1950, it's anyone who's either appeared finished 300 games. Before 1950, it's anyone who's finished at least 150 games but hasn't started 250. Anyone who crosses over the two eras qualifies if they finished at least 200 games.
Who belongs is up to you, but I hope everyone considers each pitcher's era and success as a starter if applicable. It's unfair to rank Dennis Eckersley below Jesse Orosco just because his relief WAR is lower.
There's a total of about 127 relievers, so I'm guessing we'll elect 35-60. Don't go crazy and vote for everyone with like a WAR above 9.0!
Here are all of the players that will be eligible throughout the voting, so you may want to plan who you'll vote for accordingly. Perhaps establish your personal HoF so you know who to vote for when the time comes.
