Felix was also, arguably, the hardest luck truly great pitcher (2005-2016). ESPN's 2016 article "Felix Hernandez Is The Unluckiest Pitcher Of All Time". Extremely revealing.
Felix Hernandez continues to dominate deep into games, but his career win total doesn't reflect it, thanks to an always lackluster Mariners offense.

This is something I think we all know at this point, but if King Felix had decided to jump ship to a franchise that wasn't a disaster for the vast majority of his career he'd be a Hall of Famer. I could go back and forth on him as things are right now.They don’t think it be like it is, but it do.
