My personal HOF is broken down like this: I include all MLB players - even active ones.
There are 189 players who I would put in my HOF without question.
There are 35 players in which I would include, but if I went to a Small Hall or if somebody told me that they weren't allowed, I wouldn't cry one bit. Wynn is one of those 35.
There are 38 players in which I would not put my HOF, but if I had to or if I wanted a Big Hall, I'd let them in without shedding any tears. Evans is one of those guys.1885 1886 1926 1931 1934 1942 1944 1946 1964 1967 1982 2006 2011

I still take Evans because he was able to last effectively past age 37, in contrast to Wynn was playing in Coahuila, Mexico after one year out of baseball. It wouldn't matter if Evans was playing in Tiger Stadium, Fulton County Stadium, Candlestick Park, Dodger Stadium, or the Astrodome.46 wins to match last year's total

Cowtipper, I am assuming that you all basically know the drill here, you are familiar w the players named, don't need intros and can take the ball. You post gobs of these, which make for good readin' usually-don't see the need to expound on the premise. Its just a player comp.

I know the mods are letting it go, but it's also rude to put everyone who is accepting of new metrics in a box and call them names. "Sabrnaughts" "StatBorgs" and whatever other clever names you've come up with. It's a textbook example of Ad Hominem. You don't see the sabr-minded folk referring yo you as a flat-earther or creationist for example. If your argument is valid, you won't have to resort to name-calling and baiting.Last edited by GiambiJuice; 12-31-2012, 10:03 AM.My top 10 players:
