Those bolded guys seem iffy to me. The first four are pretty self-explanatory, Rivera I may need to explain. It's short, closers aren't getting in the hall yet... they should be, but they aren't. Hopefully Eck was a start.
A lot of people say this honor validates my career, but I didn't work hard for validation. I didn't play the game right because I saw a reward at the end of the tunnel. I played it right because that's what you're supposed to do, play it right and with respect. If this validates anything, it's that learning how to bunt and hit and run and turning two is more important than knowing where to find the little red light at the dug out camera. - Ryne Sandberg

If you have a "Young guys that might" list, include Pujols.

I say yes to Bonds, even though I hate him.

Anybody who has 500 HRs or 3000 Hits or 215 Wins or 300 saves or 2250 strikeouts. Thats my criteria.
Unlike most other team sports, in which teams usually have an equivalent number of players on the field at any given time, in baseball the hitting team is at a numerical disadvantage, with a maximum of 5 players and 2 base coaches on the field at any time, compared to the fielding team's 9 players. For this reason, leaving the dugout to join a fight is generally considered acceptable in that it results in numerical equivalence on the field, and a fairer fight.

Just to throw some names out there quickly:

Bonds, Sosa, Clemens, Thomas, Bagwell, Griffey, Palmeiro, Biggio, A.Rodriguez, I.Rodriguez, Jeter, Garciaparra, Rolen, Clemens, Maddux, P.Martinuez, Glavine, R.Johnson, Rivera.

I'm sure I left some obvious ones out.

                Glavine

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America is ruled by it like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again. Oh, people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come. -James Earl Jones as Terence Mann in Field Of Dreams

Bonds, Sosa, Palmeiro, Junior Griffey - 500 HR, Clemens, Maddux - 300 Wins, R.Johnson - 4000 K, Biggio, Pedro, Bagwell, the two Rodriguez's and Piazza are pretty much locks.

M.Ramirez, Glavine, Schilling, C.Jones, John Franco, M.Rivera, T.Hoffman, Jeter, F.Thomas, J.Kent, J.Gonzalez, Sheffield and Thome all have strong chances. Ramirez, Chipper & Jeter are still relatively young and should be in with 2 or 3 more solid years (if they aren't in already, chipper may need more time). Thomas, Schilling, Gonzalez and Hoffman need two stay healthy for a few years. Thome and Gonzalez both probably need to hit 500, Thome should, but it seems like Juan Gon needs a miracle to stay healthy but on the bright side he's still 35. Sheffield, Ramirez and Thomas should hit 500 too, but i think they have enough credentials to get in regardless. There doesn't seem like there is much more Glavine, Schilling and JOHN franco can do to help there cause due to age, and all that Kent can do really is try and have a couple more solid seasons and hope for the best, even though i think the career homeruns record for 2B should be enough to get him in.

Two other guys, Jim Edmonds and Brian Giles, I used to think were bound for the hall, but now that doesn't seem as likely. I think that Edmonds has superb numbers for a center fielder and has one of the best centerfield gloves (if not THE best) in recent memory, and the fact that he is still 35 is a plus if he has the longevity of a Steve Finley. I still think that if Giles could get out of San Diego and into a more hitter friendly park he could still climb the latter a bit more. He is still 34 so he has 3 or 4 years left anyways, thats most likely not enough but its something.

Those are the only players who i feel have done enough AND played long enough to deserve to be in the mix as of yet, of course there is younger guys like Guerrero, Rolen, Delgado, Tejada, Garciaparra, Helton (this year may be a death knell though) and Pujols who are on the radar. Also a guy like andruw jones who is approaching 300 dingers at 28 is in the mix. And then there is Ichiro but thats a whole other story.

Oh and one other thing, yesterday Edgar Renteria got his 1500th hit at the tender age of 29 (he turns 30 in August), in this his 10th season. Does anyone think that if he plays another 10 or 11 seasons, not to mention the second half of this season, with a relatively clean bill of health, that he could reach 3000 hits?. What if he only comes close in the 2850+, 2900+ range, would that be enough to merit entrance? Just a question.

I'm not so sure the BBWAA will elect Biggio and Larkin.

I'm sorry, but just because you don't like Sosa and don't like the Cubs doesn't mean he shouldn't be in the hall of fame.

I also don't think he should be in the HOF because he uses steroids (or used to anyways) and he corked his bat.

Then you shoul have used that as your reason instead of just that you don't like him.
