Tom House

[Yankees]

Last season (at a minor league park, right next to the bullpen), I remember a pitcher talking about how he had started calling a player Tom House, as he had been saying "you need to throw it like this (this is a 20yo infielder, mind you)", and succeded in annoying him, to say the least.

Does anyone know what was implied by the Tom House comment, and the characteristics of the actual House, which would have led to this?

I just recently bought the book The Diamond Appraised by Craig Wright mostly, but House also contributes to the book. The book hasn't reached my house yet, but I'm looking forward to reading it. Not exactly sure what House's real role in the book is though.
