Frank Robinson almost had two HOF careers. When he was with the Reds, his JAWS was 56.4, just about average for HOF RFers, and which would have ranked 12th of 26 in the HOF. For the rest of his career, his JAWS was 44.4, which would rank 17th.
How many other players have done something like that? Bonds had a JAWS of 50.3 at Pittsburgh, which would have ranked 10th of 20 HOFers at LF. At SF, his JAWS was 76.0, basically a tie for 3d among LFers. So not considering PEDs, Bonds was a strong HOF candidate after his seven seasons at Pittsburgh, and of course a lock at SF..
ARod: 50.1 JAWS with NYY, 11th/15 for 3B. 61.1 for SE + TEX, 6th/22 SS. ARod, forgetting the PEDS, was a certain HOFer after his ten years at SE and Texas, and had a strong case as a HOF 3B just for his time in NY. Two HOF careers at two different positions with three different teams.
Beltre had a near-HOF career before going to Texas (JAWS 43.7), and another near-HOF career while there (42.3).
Speaker: 55.8 JAWS at Boston, 8th/19 CFers; 64.0 at Cleveland, 7th.
Colllins had HOF careers at Philadelphia and Chicago, about 56 JAWS at each, 9th/20 second basemen.
But unlike any of those players, so far, Robinson also won > 1000 games as a manager. AFAIK, the only other man to win > 1000 games as a manager and finish in the top 50 in career WAR as a player is Frankie Frisch.
