    That's probably because his team was never all that good in the AL.

    Halladay went 1-2-3 in the AL Cy Young and 1-2 in the NL. Suprised to see that Halladay won the AL MVP but didn't get a single MVP point while 4 other pitchers did. Never got an MVP point in the AL despite 1-2-3-5-5 finished in the Cy.

    I know that Frank Robinson won the MVP in both leagues.

    Who has come closest?

    1) Anyone finish 1st and 2nd

    2) Anyone finish 2nd in both leagues, or first and 3rd?

    3) 3rd in both league?

    Allen went 4th and 1st.
    McGwire finished 4th and 2nd.
