            I honestly don't know what to do with Pearce or Easter. Buzz Arlett can be added to that group as well.

            Schalk is still a bit too early, IMO. Whether or not he's about due depends on how many catchers clear the ballot and into the tanking this round. The rest look to be solid players to consider at this point.

              Arlett's a mystery, I've added him as a reminder though, helluva PCL career.

                    It's interesting to me that bbRef considers the PCL AA baseball. I always thought the PCL in that era was considered the major league of the West Coast (maybe AAA or even AAA+)? Arlett broke in as a promising pitcher. The injury to his arm and ability to not only convert to a position player, but actually learn how to hit left handed to compensate for his ailing arm suggests he was a very athletic player. Excellent power numbers and high batting average, but poor fielding. There's enough "what if's" about him that I'll probably nominate him next round and see if he drums up any interest.
