  • All-Time Texas Team

Who are the best players at each position to ever play in Texas? Basically, make a lineup/rotation consisting only of players from the Astros and Rangers.
Hey, this is my public apology for suddenly disappearing and missing out on any projects I may have neglected.

Well, (completely off the top of my head with no research) you obviously have Nolan Ryan on the pitching staff. I might add J.R. Richard and Mike Scott there also. Maybe Kevin Brown.

    First Base: Bagwell
    Second Base: Biggio
I'd like to see Ruben Sierra in the OF, maybe along with Cesar Cedeno. Jose Cruz...

Do you consider Arod to not have played long enough for the Rangers?

HAHA! I completely forgot about him.

But ya, three years probably isn't enough time to be on a team's "all-time" roster.

Well, ElHalo is trying to claim Warren Spahn and Randy Johnson for the All-time NY Team!
Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.-Crash Davis

--When I make teams like this players are only eligible for one team, so guys who just passed thru aren't eligiblle. Of course this isn't my project so whatever you want to do is okay. A-Rod is still a Mariner for my all time pirposes, although he will soon pass to the Yankees.

We should put Mike Piazza on an all time Marlins team as well. :-)

If I make an all-time Rangers team, A-Rod's not on it. I'm just copying the New York thread, though ,and he gave no such stipulation.

Yes, that was the criteria that I used.

                          RF: Lance Berkman
