  • Baseball videos are gone.

YouTube killed my account. So no more footage of Cobb, Ruth, Robinson, Mays, Pete Alexander, Christy Mathewson, etc.

Wonderful. This makes me sick to my stomach. Countless numbers of hours down the drain.

So Bill, you might want to remove all the player video links from youtube, as they are all dead.

Thats a real shame. Many were not available via MLB or any MLB approved distributor, so why would they file a complaint? Preserving history is something that everyone should agree is good, but MLB (and others) are under the impression that they would rather have no-one ever see a historical clip than let someone distribute it for free without paying MLB.

Correct. I don't really see any NEGATIVE effect that those videos would have. It's basically free advertising in an innovative way for their product.

NFL has lately relaxed their policies as regards viral videos; MLB should stop being such d*** fascists and do the same.
