how do you rate the best peaks by pitchers? consecutive seasons? or does it not matter if the pitchers best seasons are lumped together or not?
also, how do you factor in the less innings today's pitchers pitched? this applies a lot to pedro who based on rate stats is probably the best pitcher ever, but his lack of innings/complete games brings him down. but could he be a product of his era? or is he just not a workhorse?
