I'm Bruce Markusen's book "A Baseball Dynasty" about the 70's A's teams and he mentioned Dimaggio as the hitting coach. He may talk about him more later, but I'm not even half done. What do people know about him in this role? It seems odd he would be with the A's. The contrast of him in a colorful A's uniform to that of the classic Yankee uniform is startling.
