Alright I don't know if that has been done already but I was wondering who you guys thought were the best players, pitchers and teams for the years that I'm about to mention. I know teams will be a little harder to choose, but I think this should be pretty interesting, and I'm hopeful I'll get some good participation. Here we go

1920-1930 - '27 Yankees, Ruth '23, Luque '23
1930-1940 - '39 Yankees, Gehrig '34, Grove '31,
1940-1950 - '48 Indians, Williams '41, Chandler '43??
1950-1960 - '60 Yanks?, Mantle '57, Spahn '53?
1960-1970 - '61 Yanks, '61 Mantle/Cash or '67 Yaz, '68 Gibson
1970-1980 - '75 Reds, '76 Morgan, '72 Carlton
1980-1990 - '86 Mets , '81 Schmidt, '85 Gooden
1990-2000 - '98 Yankees, '93 Bonds, '99 Martinez
2000-2008 - '01 M's, '02 Bonds, '00 Martinez

1910s: Red Sox, Cobb, Johnson
1920s: Yankees, Ruth, Vance
1930s: Yankees, Foxx (or Gibson), Grove
1940s: Yankees, Williams, Feller (or Newhouser)
1950s: Yankees (or Dodgers), Mantle, Spahn
1960s: Cardinals (or Dodgers), Mays, Koufax (or Marichal if you want full decade)
1970s: Reds, Morgan, Seaver
1980s: Cards?, Schmidt, Morris?
--no team dominated the 80s, no pitcher was great for the whole decade
1990s: Braves, Bonds, Maddux
2000s: Red Sox, Rodriguez, Santana...so far anyway
