HELP! Can you indentify this reproduction 1935 Jersey???

I purchased this great reproduction jersey at a Value Village for a couple of bucks. It says on the tag "NY 1935".

It was made by a company named "Function n Future" and I have Googled the name but NOTHING comes up... nothing... which I find really strange. I have searched through the BBHofF uniform database and cannot find anything that fits so I am thinking it might be a replica of some minor league team? The number on the back is 25 which didn't help in my search either.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what team jersey this is? Who is number 25?

Nah seriously, is that navy blue or black? Hard to tell on my screen. Could it be a Negro League Jersey, like the New York Black Yankees?

That would be a New York Black Yankees Jersey or even New York Cubans, I think since Negro Leauge teams aren't the same copyright as MLB the are used my many companies to make retro/throwback Jerseys. I don't think it an exact replica of the Jersey those teams wore. If you are interested in Throwback Jerseys there a bunch of companies that do replica that are really historically correct like http://www.ebbets.com/ I am going to buy one as soon as I have so extra cash(if I ever)

yeah, ebbets field flannels might help you.
I dont think it is the NY Cubans. From what I have seen, they had some orange or red in their uniforms. Then again, maybe their road uniforms didnt. I have a Cubans cap and it is similar to the NY Giants and (1960s) old Orioles cap colors.
