hi everyone,i just found this forum and it looks great. i'm a big baseball fan, especially the deadball era. i'm a 50 year old male living in western pa. i haven't played hardball since little league, although i play softball 3 or 4 times a week. i've read several great biographies about my favorite period, such as charles alexander's ty cobb.(i've got an autographed first edition of this book). also timothy gay's tris speaker biography. mr.gay is from my hometown and was a couple years ahead of me in school. anyway,i'm glad i found out about baseball fever and i'm sure i will have a great time learning about the greatest game in the world. thank you, banny.

Hi Banny. Welcome to Fever. Best online pool of knowledgeable baseball fans we know of. And some of the members have ranged far and wide to find better sites.
A convenient tool is the thread 'stuck' at the top of History Forum, 'Classic Vintage Threads'. A sampling of some of our past better threads. http://baseball-fever.com/showthread.php?t=48941
The big photo thread also 'stuck' at the top is also a sparkling featured attraction, as well as our other photo threads listed at its top.
Happy browsing, Banny. Let one of us know if we can be of service to you, or if you have any questions.
We also have good search functions here. Both search for site-wide searching, or 'search this forum', or search this thread, too. All listed at the top of where ever you happen to be.Last edited by Bill Burgess; 04-05-2008, 08:09 AM.

As long as you dont try to tell me that Cobb was better than Ed Kranepool, we will get along just fine !
Welcome.
