Gonna be tough for BAbe to play 2 positions at once, but I'm sure he can do it.

Might wanna check some of your years
Mythical SF Chronicle scouting report: "That Jeff runs like a deer. Unfortunately, he also hits AND throws like one." I am Venus DeMilo - NO ARM! I can play like a big leaguer, I can field like Luzinski, run like Lombardi. The secret to managing is keeping the ones who hate you away from the undecided ones. lol couldn't make the cut.

besides, Balco Barry's top years were much better.

Nice looking team, you go there!

Maybe a little lacking in the defensive department, but I wouldn't worry too much about that.

With that offense and that pitching staff, there's not much to worry about period.

Most of those pitchers will strike everyone out anyways, so not too many balls getting to the fielders in the first place.

Hornsby and Piazza are at defensive positions but definetely not the best defnsively.

the others were fine I'd say.

                  Here's my team...

C: RH- Roy Campanella 1953 (best all around catcher I’ve found so far)
                  1B: LH- Lou Gehrig 1927
2B: RH- Roger Hornsby 1924 (defense was above average that year)
                  SS: RH- Honus Wagner 1908
3B: RH- Alex Rodriguez 2007 (or Al Rosen 1953, but A Rod got the edge on baserunning)
                  LF: LH- Babe Ruth 1921
                  CF: LH- Ty Cobb 1911
RF: SH- Mickey Mantle 1957 (yeah he wasn’t a RF, but I want him in the lineup anyway)
DH: RH- Jimmie Foxx 1935 (played 26 games at catcher) but if it has to be strictly DH only player then RH-Edgar Martinez 1995

                  SP: RH- Pedro Martinez 2000
                  SP: LH- Lefty Grove 1931
                  SP: RH- Greg Maddux 1995
                  SP: LH- Randy Johnson 2002
                  SP: RH- Walter Johnson 1913

                  RP: RH- Dennis Eckersley 1990
                  RP: LH- Billy Wagner 1999
"Back before I injured my hip, I thought going to the gym was for wimps."
                  Bo Jackson

Actually, I think they were about the same because I lettered in all sports, and I was a two-time state decathlon champion.
                  Bo Jackson

My sophomore year I placed 2nd, and my junior and senior year - I got smart and piled up enough points between myself and second place where I didn't have to run the mile.

Get "Old Hoss" Radbourn on that lists if you're doing pre-1900 guys. 60-12 with 678 or so IP.
