Team A has probably 5 top ten players, including (arguably) the first and second (and Arod being top 10 within 5 years barring health). Ruth is so far ahead of other hitters...if you wanted to make it close you should have put Williams and Cobb on the same team . And Maybe throw Big Train to team B Love your polls though bro.

There are few positions where team B has the edge. Cobb, Ruth, Hornsby, and Wagner, along with Johnson and Rivera have such a large edge over their counterparts that I don't think there is any question. I wouldn't mind having either team, though. If Team A was in one league and Team B in the other, I would bet on them playing in the WS.

Yea team A is clearly the better option there. Cobb, Wagner, Ruth, Gehrig, Arod is a lineup that would dominate any pitcher...except maybe those in its pitching staff. There is no weakness in Team A, wheras team B has more streaky players. On their day they could rival Team A, but i wouldnt put money on them.

It'd be a closer comparison if you removed Ruth from the first set. Any team that has Ruth and has a bunch of other players that are all in the same ballpark of each other talent wise playing with him will have the edge. Ruth is the only player that consistently receives almost universal support as the greatest player in the history of the game.

I voted for Team A.

In their favor, Gehrig, Hornsby, and Cobb have an edge over Foxx, Collins, and Teddy Ballgame. The catchers are close to even. Team B has Mays, who I would give the edge to over Speaker, but they are reasonably close.

But Team A also has Wagner and the Babe, and the gap between them and Jeter(!?) and Aaron is too large for any Team B advantage to overcome. The pitching staff for Team A is also noticeably better than Team B, despite the intimidation factor when Josh Beckett takes the mound for Team B

Of all the teams, team B has 8 members who are actually alive, so they would only have one hole in the field, and one automatic out each run through the lineup. Team A would have to take 2 outs each time through and would have to go with one up the middle infielder, and 2 outfielders. Team C would be even worse off.
